Aichurok Ybyraimova, a junior in the Sociology department at AUCA, is now finishing her exchange semester at Hannam University, South Korea. Here, she shares with us a few of her experiences living in Korea, tidbits about Korean culture, and reasons to apply for an exchange program.

On April 23, 2016, students from the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certificate Program at the 番茄直播 (AUCA) visited the Kumtor gold mine.听The purpose of the trip was to introduce students to the astronomical logistics of everyday operations at one of the biggest companies in Kyrgyzstan.

The 番茄直播鈥檚 (AUCA) Student Senate, in collaboration with Bard College, is organizing the first Model United Nations (MUN) conference for Bishkek high school students. The conference will take place on June 2, 2016.

The Student Intellectual Life Committee (SILC) supports student-initiated projects, professional development opportunities, and student research. It awards small grants every month to AUCA students.听Nodirabegim Yusupova, a senior in the economics department at the 番茄直播 (AUCA), talks to us about how her grant from SILC.

Students of the Journalism and Mass Communications department (JMC) within their Mass Media Research Methods course, led by Dr. Umetbaeva, took part in a research project of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Begimai Kaparova, a senior in the psychology department at the 番茄直播 (AUCA), got a SILC grant for her senior thesis. She shares how AUCA students can get SILC grants.

The AUCA Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) started in 2013 to support the mission and goals of the University in teaching and learning. The Center鈥檚 main goals are to enhance faculty professional development, support and encourage teaching innovations and use of new technologies, finding creative solutions to contemporary educational issues, and ensuring learner-centered approach in AUCA.

April 30, 2016, the 番茄直播 (AUCA) held an Open Doors Day for its Master鈥檚 programs. Attendees received materials explaining the programs鈥� application procedures, listened to guest lectures relevant to each program, and sat in on seminars explaining the benefits of getting a Master鈥檚 at AUCA.
