Maria Temmes, doctoral candidate in the Department of Gender Studies, and Elena Popa, who received her MA in philosophy from CEU and successfully defended her doctoral dissertation in philosophy at CEU in January 2016, gained valuable experience at AUCA this academic year through CEU鈥檚 Global Teaching Fellowship Program (GTFP).

On April 26, 2016 a delegation from the People鈥檚 Republic of China visited the 番茄直播. The delegation consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the head of an International Education Initiative.

Starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, the 番茄直播 (AUCA) will have two new departments: the Department of Television, Cinematography and Visual Art and the Department of Applied Geology. Heads of the new departments spoke about their new programs at a press-conference on May 19, 2016.

Sir James Mirrlees, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics and emeritus Professor of Political Economy at Cambridge University, has been chosen as the keynote speaker for AUCA鈥檚 commencement ceremony to be held on June 4, 2016.
